Yesterday we took a jeep ride to find the back road into Cranbrook.
Roy said that they had never been on this particular road eh! so off we went to see if we could find our way through the mountains.
We headed north east out of the RV park and drove a few miles to a turn off to the left; I think the road was called Hidden Valley Rd.
We followed this road for a couple of miles pass ponds
and cows
until we came to the end, at a large ranch.
Here we turned around and backtracked until we came to a trail heading up into the mountains.
All the roads we have been on here have been in really good shape.
Many of them at this time of year are lined with wild flowers.
We followed several roads all of which ended up at cul d’ sacs.
At one place we could look down on Moyie Lake.
We continued on trying different roads; we crossed over a pretty little creek.
Eventually we stopped for lunch along the road;
then continued our search for the back road to Cranbrook.
The views were very nice
and the wild flowers were beautiful.
We were hoping to see a bear on this ride but again we were disappointed, all we saw were five piles of bear scat on the road, but no bears.
Eventually we decided that we weren’t on the right track so we headed back down off the mountain and back home.
It was a very nice ride even though we never did find the back way to Cranbbrook.
