We left Santa Rosa at 9:00 and drove west on Highway 12 through Sonoma County.
By 10:00 we were at interstate 80 and drove about 4 miles north where we took the Highway 12 exit and drove through Rio Vista where we crossed the Sacramento River.
After an hour we came to I-5 and headed south for five hours to Highway 58 where we turned east and drove for about 45 minutes to Bakersfield. We spent the night at the River Run RV park. It is a very nice park for $35.00 per night and it is close to restaurant’s.
We went to the Hungry Hunter for dinner and had the prime rib. The food was good and there was plenty of it.
Okay, that was yesterday. Today we will drive to Pahrump, Nevada another six hours or more. We will spend five days there with Suzanne, Roy, Sue and Denis.
