We drove to Lake Havasu City yesterday to see the movie “The Hobbit, Battle of the Five Armies”.
There is a movie theater in Parker at the Blue Water casino but the theaters are not designed for the best viewing experience. The seats are on each side of the room with a wide isle down the middle.
The theater in Havasu is larger with the seats across the middle of the theater and the isles on the sides. The screen is huge and the sound system is excellent. We sat about five rows back and directly in the center it was great. There were only about eight people in the theater so It was like a private showing.
Oh, by the way the movie was “BLOODY AWSOME”!!!! The director Peter Jackson is a genius. The only down side is that this is the last movie in the series. Thank technology for DVD’s so we can watch the whole series “The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings” anytime we want. We are planning a marathon viewing when we get back home.
After the movie we went to Walmart where we bought a new wireless printer And a few grocery items that we needed.
From there we went looking for the US bank but found that the bank was no longer in Lake Havasu City.
We stopped for a late lunch at a Mexican restaurant called the “Casa Bonita” The food was good and the price was reasonable.
We got home around 5:30 and after putting our groceries, etc. away, we rode with Jo Ann and Dave to Cheryl and Dennis’s to play cards.
It was a long day but we enjoyed it all.
