A visit with Becky and Dennis 08-12-14

We left Kathi and Bob’s around 10:00 and drove south on I-5 for about forty five minutes to the Valley of the Rogue State Park where our friends Becky and Dennis are working for the summer.
The park is very nice with lots of shade trees and full hookups. There are even some Yurts that one can rent.

Dennis is one of the people tasked with keeping the grounds looking good. For this service they gets free space rent and utilities.

While we were standing around talking, a large Palliated woodpecker flew into a tree nearby.

When we got to the gate Becky was just pulling up in a golf cart and showed us to our spot right across the street from them.
It was a great reunion with big hugs from Becky.
Dennis was working but showed up shortly after we got set up.

Around 5:00 we got into Dennis’s Freightliner and went into the town of Rogue River for a Mexican dinner at a place called Tarasco.
The food was excellent and the service was friendly.

After dinner we hung out at B&D’s, played cards and laughed a lot.

It was a great visit but we are getting a little barn sour and are ready to go home.

We will leave here today and may be home tonight unless I get tired and find a place to stop for the night.

What a long great trip it has been.
