We left Bakersfield around 8:30. Got on Hwy 99 for a short distance to Hwy 58 and headed east.
The Tehachapi mountains were in the clouds. It looked like rain but it never materialized.
At Barstow we got on I-40 and continued east to Needles.
At Needles we turned off the highway onto the River Road Cutoff and followed it to Fort Mojave where we turned north on AZ-95 and drove to the parking lot across from the Riverside Hotel Casino in Bullhead City. Here we set up for the night.
We took the shuttle boat across the Colorado River to the Riverside Hotel and had a late lunch/early dinner.
After we ate, Patti stayed at the Riverside to play Black Jack. She returned to the RV about two hours later with all of her money. That’s pretty good to break even after two hours of play.
Just after Patti got back to the RV it started to rain. It was a pretty hard downpour but it didn’t last long.
We will be in Quartzsite around noon today.
