On Saturday afternoon we went over to Suzanne and Roy’s for one last get together.
There were snacks provided and Sue brought a wonderful dip that we all enjoyed.
We sat around, ate, drank and visited for a couple of hours.
Then as all good stuff has to end we said our goodbyes and promised to keep in touch and meet again next season if circumstances permit.
While we were there we were treated to another of Arizona’s beautiful sunsets.
Sunday:
Almost every morning while we have been in Coolidge we have heard the crop dusters flying over the fields. This morning Patti finally got some pictures if the plane.
After having breakfast with Jo Ann and Dave we left Coolidge around 9:30 and headed south on Hwy 87/287 to Eloy. Here we topped off the gas tank on the RV and got on I-10 heading west.
After about 3 Miles we turned onto I-8.
We followed I-8 to Gila Bend.
At Gila Bend we turned north on Hwy 85 and drove north for 36 miles.
When we got to I-10 we turned west again.
I-10 is not fun but I just set the cruse on 60 and stay out of the way.
Around 40 miles from Quartzsite it began to rain. We stopped at Vicksburg Road (26 miles from Quartzsite) at the Zip station and topped off the gas tank again. That way we won’t have to get gas when we leave Quartzsite next month.
When we got to Q it was raining, it rained all night and is still raining as I write this.
When it stops raining there should be a lot of wild flowers blooming in the desert.
