I called Dr Green’s office yesterday morning and talked to the nurse about the infection on my incision. We decided that I should go to the hospital in Parker.
We drove up there and went to urgent care.
After about a half hour we got to see a nurse practitioner who checked out the small hole in the incision and took a culture. After probing and prodding for a while he said that it didn’t look to serious. He gave me a prescription for antibiotics and said to just keep the wound clean and dry. He also said that the hospital would call us after they got the results from the culture.
While we were there, the practitioner noticed that we were both coughing and nasal. After talking to us about our symptoms and checking my lungs he said we had a virus that has been going around. He suggested that we get an expectorant and some antihistamine.
After we left the hospital we went to Walmart to fill the prescription for the antibiotics and also get our normal meds.
When we were done at Walmart, we went to the Cross Roads for lunch.
We were home by 3:30 and kind of hibernated for the rest of the day.
