We didn’t do much yesterday. We were tired from the day before so we just hung out in the RV most of the day.
We did however take a ride up to where I-70 and 191 intersect.
There is a trail up there called The Book Cliff’s , Sego Canyon. We went up there to see if there was some place to park the RV near the trail.
What we decided was, that when we leave here next Sunday 06-09 we will take the motor home and park in a wide flat area near the gas station at Crescent Junction. From there we will take the jeep and drive the trail.
We left here around 12:00 so we stopped at the “Fiesta Mexicana” restaurant for a couple of taco’s. They weren’t that good.
I think we will stick to “La Hacienda” for Mexican food.
We went to the “Slick Rock Cafe” for dinner and had the fish and chips. It was okay but I thought it was a little pricey.
It was a good day.
We are taking a ride today to see if we can get to Uranium Arch. The trail to the arch is off the Seven Mile Rim trail and is rated difficult in our back roads book. We have been on some of the trail already but haven’t done the whole thing. We don’t plan to do it all today either. We may not even make it to the Uranium Arch.
