We arrived in Quartzsite around 4:00 this afternoon and are glad to be home again.
We had dinner at the Grubstake and it was as good as ever. We had the calamari.

Okay, we are in Bakersfield. We left Santa Rosa around 8:30 and arrived here at 4:15.
The ride was uneventful and traffic was light.
We should be in Q tomorrow in the late afternoon.
I got the jeep back today.
Patti and I have spent the day putting stuff in the RV and the back of the jeep The jeep is hooked up and we are ready to leave tomorrow morning.
Look out Quartzsite here we come!
We had a god visit with Gaby and Morgan.
On the way home I decided to stop by the Jeep place to see if the jeep was ready. The store was closed but I noticed that the shop area was lighted and one of the mechanics was working on a vehicle there. I noticed that Clifford was sitting on a lift. I went in and asked the mecanic if my jeep was done yet. He said he didn’t know because he hadn’t been working on it. As we checked it out I noticed that the spacers on the belly pan were still there. The reason for installing the slip shaft eliminator was to get rid of the spacers and lift the belly pan back to its original position.
I will have to call the shop tomorrow morning and find out what is going on.
If they have to modify the rear drive shaft after lifting the belly pan, it will mean that we may not get out of here for several more days.
Well, it looks like we won’t get on the road until Tuesday.
The jeep is still in the shop. They should have it done today but we are going to San Francisco today to visit Gaby and Morgan. The shop is closed on Sunday and if we get it Monday morning we will still have to load it and get hooked up. We decided it was just easier to leave on Tuesday morning. We should be in Quartzsite by Thursday or Friday.
Okay I guess its time I got back to work on this blog.
I finished the Hep-C treatment a couple of weeks ago and am feeling much better.
Patti had a wonderful time in Spain.
We have been trying to get out of here and head for Quartzsite.
but we have some obligations to take care of and hope to leave by DEC. 12.
Right now both the jeep and the motor home are in the shop.
I spent a lot of money on the jeep this year.
I had a new engine installed early in the summer approximately $5,000. Then a couple of weeks ago I took the jeep into 4wheel Parts to have some modifications done; upgraded rear-end with heavy duty axels and Detroit lockers, a slip shaft eliminator kit and new rear drive shaft. Of course they found a bunch of other stuff stuff that was wrong ie; front ball joints, tie rod ends, bad left front hub and axel etc. approximately $4,000.
We have had some bad rain storms here in Nor-Cal.
The other day Patti informed me that the motor home was leaking. I got an appointment with Marlow's RV repair, where I originally had the roof installed.
We took the RV to Marlow's yesterday and found out the roof has a rip in it, probably caused by a tree limb scraping the top. He said that he could fix the problem so now we are just waiting.
On Saturday we are going to San Francisco to visit with my daughter Gaby and her husband Morgan.
If we get the RV and the jeep back before then, we will finish loading and hopefully be on the road by Monday.
If not, we will get on the road as soon as possible.
Okay, Every one has been yelling at me to do an update so here it is.
I am still on the drugs to get rid of the HEP C. I still feel like crap but not as bad as earlier. The good side is I only have four more Injections to go. That means that I will be done with the treatment by October 31. The treatment is working. All the blood tests have been good, no HEP C found.
The most exciting thing that is going on is that Patti left this morning for a two week trip to Spain with my sister and both my daughters. I am going to try and get her to write the trip up for the blog when she gets back. We will see how that works out.
While Patti is in Spain I am going to spend the time at the cabin. I can’t do any work up there but at least I’ll be in the woods.
Okay that’s it for now.
