I picked up the Pitman arm at the machinist's.
There is a little clearance problem with the new draglink end. There isn’t enough room for the grease fitting.
What I ended up doing was to remove the grease fitting and replaced it with a set screw.
I will have to drop the drag link when I want to grease it.
The drag link is installed.
The next thing I am going to do is pull the yoke off the transfer case so I can replace the leaky rear output shaft seal. Then I can install the drive shaft.
Okay, that’s it for now. I am taking today off. We are going to my sisters for a spaghetti dinner.
Can you reverse the drag link so the nut is on the inside instead of the outside? If so that would fix the grease fitting problem?
