Saturday, May, 2.

I was woken up around 4:50 am by rain hitting on the roof of the RV.
It was still raining hard as we pulled onto 191 and headed for Moab.
Patti was trying to get some pictures of the beautiful scenery along the way but the weather would not cooperate.

We got to the “Arch View RV Park” around noon, just in time for a break in the rain that lasted until we got set up. Then a huge black cloud rolled over the mesa to the north and a heavy squall complete with thunder, lightning, rain and hail rolled across the valley.

In the midst of this squall we decided to go to town to do some grocery shopping.
By the time we came out of the store the storm was over and the hills to the south had a light covering of new snow.

Tomorrow the weather is supposed to be better and we are planning to go to “Arches Park“.
